2010 to 2011 I was an employee of SSE.

2011 to 2016 I was an employee of SGN.

2016 to 2019 I was a paid advisor to SGN’s stakeholder engagement panel.

2016 onwards I have been a PhD student (EPSRC funded) and paid employee and at the University of Exeter (funded via EPSRC, the Government of Northern Ireland and UKERC).

In 2018 I carried out a small freelance research contract for WWF Scotland.

From 2020 onwards I was initially a contractor for RAP but became an employee in 2021 and have been employed there since.

In 2022 and 2023 I received payment for running the Home Energy Advice Team stand at the Fully Charged Show, (Farnborough and Harrogate in 2023).

In 2023 I was remunerated for an investor advisory call with Jefferies Bank on heat pumps.

In 2023/24 I was remunerated as Specialist Advisor to the Environmental Audit Select Committee’s inquiry into the ‘Sustainable Electrification of the UK Economy’.

In 2024 I have receive remuneration as a non-executive advisory member of the Scottish Government’s heat in buildings ‘Strategic Advisory Group’.
